Randy Blood is the President of Athletes to Careers, where he leads the organization’s mission to help collegiate athletes successfully transition from the playing field to professional careers.
For more than 16 years, Randy has worked with thousands of collegiate athletes, helping them identify their strengths, understand their career options, and make informed decisions about their professional futures. His experience working directly with athletes has given him a unique understanding of both the opportunities and challenges that college athletes face as they prepare for life after sports.
As President, Randy is focused on the continued growth and development of Athletes to Careers and its team. His vision is to establish A2C as a national, world-class organization that sets the standard for career development and professional guidance for former collegiate athletes.
Through Athletes to Careers, Randy is committed to giving athletes the knowledge, resources, relationships, and guidance they need to make educated career decisions and build successful, fulfilling careers long after their playing days are over.
Amber was a walk on at UC San Diego for the Women’s Rowing team. She met the Founder of A2C her Junior year of college. When it came close to graduation, they took a chance, and hired her. Today, her direct coaching style comes from the successes and failures she’s witnessed, and experienced, over the last 10+ years working with career seekers and hiring managers. Amber is your “go-to” for tough feedback others won’t share and a sharp eye for talent that’s hard to find.
John gets it — because he’s been on both sides. Before coaching athletes through the career transition, he spent years in corporate America doing the hiring himself, so he knows exactly what companies are looking for. Now he uses that insider view to help former student-athletes turn their competitive edge into real career opportunities, having guided over 450 student athletes into roles with corporate partners. He’s also the author of College to Career Journal: 101 Thought Provoking Ways to Help You Land the Job of Your Dreams. A grad of Eastern Illinois University, John lives in the Phoenix area and is all-in on helping athletes win their next chapter.
Talee Snow is Vice President of the West Coast at Athletes to Careers, where she helps former athletes translate their competitive experience into successful careers. A former UCLA softball player, Talee earned her degree in Political Science before beginning her career as a District Manager with ALDI. After experiencing A2C’s coaching firsthand during her own transition from athletics, she joined the organization to help other athletes confidently navigate theirs. Talee now leads A2C’s West Coast efforts, partnering with talented candidates and companies to build lasting, successful teams.
Outside of work, Talee enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, cooking for friends and family, and spending time with her niece. Some of her favorite nights are the simple ones with good food, a bottle of wine brought home from a trip, and everyone gathered around the table.
Marsha Gonzaga is a Career Coach with Athletes to Careers, where she helps student-athletes successfully transition from competition to meaningful careers. As a former Division I student-athlete and three-time team captain at the University of Oklahoma, she understands firsthand the dedication, leadership, and resilience athletes bring beyond the game. With nearly 20 years of experience in higher education, primarily in career services, Marsha has dedicated her career to preparing students for life after graduation.
In a full-circle moment, Marsha joined Athletes to Careers nearly 20 years after first being introduced to the organization as a valuable career resource for the student-athletes she supported during her time working in collegiate athletics. With A2C, she has successfully placed both collegiate student-athletes and professional athletes into full-time positions and internships with employers across the country, helping them recognize the value of their athletic experiences and confidently communicate their transferable skills. Marsha’s relationship-driven approach, combined with her background in counseling and career development allows her to build meaningful partnerships with student-athletes, universities, and employers. She is passionate about helping every athlete discover what’s next and build a successful career beyond sports.
Hi, I’m Maddy! I’m currently based in San Diego, California, and graduated from Boise State University in 2023. I’m passionate about helping student-athletes feel confident as they navigate life after sports, which is why I love being a Career Coach at Athletes to Careers. Building genuine relationships, cheering people on, and helping athletes discover careers they’re excited about is the best part of what I do, and I am so grateful to be a part of A2C!
Teig Lesko is a former NCAA student-athlete and Division I soccer coach with five years of collegiate coaching experience at UNCW and Belmont. He holds a Master’s in Sports Administration and brings a genuine passion for athlete development to his work at Athletes to Careers.
A Blacksburg, VA native, Teig pursued his education in the Virginia Beach area and Nashville before settling in Wilmington, NC, building a robust professional network across the Mid-Atlantic along the way. Outside of work, he’s an ocean enthusiast at heart – whether surfing, fishing, or simply enjoying a beach day – and values quality time spent with family and friends.
David Bacani is a former professional baseball player, championship-winning coach, and career coach dedicated to helping athletes succeed both on and off the field.
A four-year standout at Cal State Fullerton, David was a four-time First Team All-Big West selection, two-time All-American, and two-time College World Series participant. He went on to play more than six years of affiliated professional baseball with the New York Mets and Boston Red Sox organizations, winning three championships and earning multiple All-Star selections.
Following his playing career, David spent nearly a decade as the Head Baseball Coach at Santa Margarita Catholic High School, where he led the program to a 2014 CIF Division 1 Championship and was named CIF Division 1 Coach of the Year. He also helped more than 50 student-athletes reach their goal of playing collegiate baseball.
For the past 7 years, David has served as a Career Coach with Athletes To Careers, helping former student-athletes translate the skills developed through sports into successful careers through coaching, interview preparation, and professional development.
Coach Bacani currently lives in Charleston South Carolina with his beautiful and supportive wife, Jamie, and their 3 amazing daughters, Maison, Madden, and Maris, and their son Bode.
Hope Moreno is a former Division I softball student-athlete at Creighton University who went on to coach at the Division I level, work in collegiate athletics operations, and later serve within the athletic department at the University of Pittsburgh.
Now a Career Placement Coach with Athletes to Careers, Hope brings a highly competitive, hands-on approach to every athlete she works with. She invests deeply in understanding who they are, challenges them to see beyond the identity they built through sports, and advocates relentlessly for the opportunities she believes they have earned.
Whether that means pushing an athlete to raise their expectations, preparing them until they are ready to walk into an interview with confidence, or continuing to fight for the right opportunity when the process gets difficult, Hope does not back down easily.
That level of commitment has been recognized throughout her time at A2C. Hope was named Rookie of the Year in her first year and went on to earn Coach of the Year and President’s Club recognition the following year. Those honors reflect the standard she sets for herself and the amount of work she is willing to put in for the people who trust her with their next chapter.
For Hope, career placement is more than helping an athlete land a job. It is helping them recognize what they are capable of beyond sports and making sure they have someone in their corner who is willing to work just as hard for their future as they did for their game.
My name is Emma Meakim, and I am a former collegiate lacrosse player at Kutztown University. As Kutztown lacrosse’s all-time leader in assists, I discovered just how much I value helping and connecting with other athletes. That passion led me to pursue my Master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology at the University of Denver. I have now been gifted the opportunity to bring together everything I love: sport, people, assisting, and storytelling in my role as a Career Coach at Athletes to Careers. I am excited to act as a mirror that reflects back the strengths that athletes have built within themselves and help them turn the lessons from sport into professional skillsets.
Hi, I’m Emily Armstrong! I’m an Olympian and former Ohio State student-athlete who competed in artistic swimming. I represented Canada at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and won three national championships during my time at Ohio State. After experiencing the transition from elite athletics firsthand, I became passionate about helping other athletes recognize the value of their experiences and confidently navigate their own career paths.
